Our Matriarch

This weekend we experienced some good and bad times. Avo is the Matriach of our family. She is the oldest person in our family. I think around 82 years old. Last year she had her knee replaced. She is now having problems with her other knee and hip. She was admitted to the hospital this past weekend. This past weekend we visited her in the Hospital. She seemed to be in good spirits. Visiting family and friends when they are in the Hospital is a way that many us show respect for others and that we value them. You usually end up running into many people when you visit others in the Hospital. We often get asked to reduce the number of people in the hospital room. It was nice so nice to see Cila, Tina, Jack, Tony and Maria. After the visit we stopped by Tony's for some music with dad and Tony's family.

Avo is also one of the spirtual leaders in our family. She reminds us how she prays for each of us every single day. Let us all say a pray for Avo that she gets better. As my wife described her, "she is one of the sweetest ladies you would ever meet"
