Multi Culture has it's advantages

Happy St Patrick's day. Multiculture has it's advantages. You get to celebrate more holidays when you have more cultures in a family. Here is a classic delicious boiled Irish Dinner. This is perhaps everyone in the family's favorite holiday meal. Susan's mom declared that this would be the last St Patrick's day dinner she would have. I usually give this traditional meal a little Portuguese twist with Vinegar which makes it really tasty.

Courage is...

Courage is being able to get up in front of the whole class and read your essay when you are in elementary school like my brave little son did.

Courage is being able to gymnastics leaping and spinning around bars that are 9 feet off the ground, like my little brave daughter did.

Courage is being able to get your self to a job every day so that you can provide for your family even when that job is making you go deaf or ruining your hands, like my mom and dad has done their whole lives.

Courage is being able to get old even when your body begins to fail you, like we all are.

A family value is keeping your courage.

Here are some pictures I took in Boston. Courage was the men and women that had to construct the steel beams at such a great altitude. It is amazing what the human being can create when he is determined.

URI has come a long way.

Its been a while since I had time to take some pictures. The last 2 weekends I had a chance to get to see URI playing basketball at Ryan Center. URI lost both games!!! Enjoyed both though the first with my son and friends and the second with Tony and his family!!

URI use to have a tiny little gym for the basketball team to play. They now have an incredible facility, thanks to the CEO from CVS. His last name is Ryan who I think attended URI. It is nice to see the school doing well.

Young Americans

This is where the "young americans" got started in the US. Took these photos in Boston and Charlestown this weekend. By coincidence as I was processing the photos I was listening to David Bowie and "Young Americans" was playing. Hope you enjoy these photos.

Mistakes

We all make mistakes. I have made some for sure. As a parent, father, worker, brother and husband. Some of them have serious consequences and some don't. Some of them have consequences that are felt for a short period of time others last the rest of your life or someone else's. Some can be fixed with an apology and some can't. For those that can be fixed with an apology here is how you do it. Sorry its been a while since my last posting it has been hectic at work and home.
